Aged 30, Sébastien Barnès has gone through a reinvention of his Quebecois roots, changing his name to Ellias and turning into a real Parisian. Succeeding his late mentor as Artistic Director at a prestigious French haute couture house, his first collection has propelled him to the status of fashion prodigy. Under constant pressure, Ellias starts feeling a pain in his chest. As he undergoes a medical follow-up, he learns that his father, with whom he has had no contact for many years, has just died of a heart attack. Forced to fly back to Montreal for the funeral amidst trying to secure his first Vogue cover, Ellias will find out that he may have inherited much worse than his father’s weak heart.
