Mirror is a 30 minutes sci-fi cinematic experience in virtual reality.Mixing the latest technics from videogame & animation such as photoscanning and facial capture with a psychological plot from classic films, Mirror immerses the viewer in the memories of space explorer Claris, a survivor of a crash on planet Mirror. Claris works at NASA and is chosen to be the 1st astronaut to set foot on Planet Mirror, a planet discovered a few years earlier thanks to a signal sent to Earth. At the same time, her husband and daughter die in a car accident. Locking her feelings and pain inside, Claris refuses to back away from her mission. After a full year of hypersleep, ending with a small crash on the planet, she sets foot for the 1st time on the arid surface of Mirror. Haunted by her memories and a form of guilt, she nonetheless remains very professional in her exploration of the planet. But little by little, the line between the memories playing out in her mind and the reality of the planet become one. A tree she knew as a child starts to grow a few yards from the spaceship, the church where her husband's funeral was held, appears in the distance. Claris feels more and more like she is losing her grip on reality, as the planet seems to take possession of her. Unless it’s the other way around? Because the more Claris progresses in her exploration, the more the planet transforms and takes on all the characteristics of Planet Earth. Claris finally encounters her husband who tell her she should stay with them. Is it a memory? Is it a new reality? Claris chooses to abandon them once again. As she walks away, the earthly elements of Planet Mirror all vanish one after another. Claris reaches her ship, which takes off and heads back to Planet Earth. But is she really sure she made the right choice? We are presenting this project in development with the aim to finalize a 5 mn prototype that we will use to find partners and financials support to enter in production in 2020.
