"APOLLONIA HIRSCHER" Cultural Center is a public cultural performing arts institution, established in 16 of February 2023, with legal personality, under the authority of the Local Council of Brasov. It is a public institution of repertory performances, having a permanent artistic ensemble, capable of supporting the activity of a season, fulfilling the conditions of the portfolio of performances and companies of shows or concerts, as well as the activity of artistic manager, uppon solicitation beeing managed by a board of directors with a broad expertise and cultural know-how, in Theatre, Opera, Cinema, Heritage, Performing Arts, Concerts and so on. The Institute is administrating over 5000 sqm of various Patrimonial Buildings, suitable for all types of cultural performances. The main objectives are to affirm the national cultural identity, heritage and minority cultural identities, through performing arts, to promote national and international local artistic values, to educate and increase public access to performances, as well as to support public initiatives and encourage private ones, in order to diversify and develop performing arts. The object of activity for repertory performance: a) organization of theater, opera, ballet, dance, music and poetry performances; b) organization of national and international tours, respectively national and international festivals, directed by itself or in collaboration with other cultural operators, public or private, c) participation in national and international festivals d) organization of communication sessions, symposiums, debates on cultural, educational, scientific, social topics e) organization of film screenings, editorial activities (editing, publishing, distribution, promotion and other related activities related to books or publishing); f) educational activities for children; g) organizing exhibitions in various fields (visual arts, books, documents, other objects of collection, and others); organization of exhibition events, symposiums, workshops, colloquia, seminars, congresses and theoretical debates on national and international visual art, theatre, cinema, music etc. h) production of visual artistic manifestations: exhibitions, video art, art in public space, artistic interventions performance, new media; supporting, stimulating, propelling young Romanian artists by granting scholarships, prizes and artistic residencies; i) publishing books, magazines, newspapers, albums, catalogs, films and any other types of publications on any support (physical, audio, digital, virtual reality, augmented reality, etc.); j) supporting national and international cinematographic productions through own patrimonial buildings, adding up to 5000 sqm of spaces suitable toward such activities, as well as outdoor and other spaces; delivery to the target audience of special programs designed to raise awareness of the importance cinema in the process of personal and professional development. k) organizing castings for certain distributors and production houses; organization of cultural and gastronomic events; creating spaces and organizing events for socialization and communication between artists as well as between artists and art consumers.
